With the possibility that schools and colleges will be required to close to help protect students and staff from coronavirus, we are taking steps to continue teaching and learning to ensure you are prepared for end-of-year assessments and examinations.

Prepare to learn remotely!

Lessons and communication will be delivered using online platforms such as Canvas, Teams, OneNote and Show My Homework, etc.

  • Tutors will upload learning resources, assessments and activities with a set deadline
  • Some teachers may schedule a video conference for a particular time.


Important: Your attendance will be recorded by completion of tasks and activities uploaded for each lesson.

How can I prepare? Your checklist:

  • Activate your Office365 college email ([email protected])
  • Download Office365 apps to personal computer/tablet/phone Essential apps include: Canvas, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Teams, FlipGrid, Wakelet
  • Download free versions of Office365 Word, Excel and PowerPoint from your Office email system. From your home page select the Install Office button from the top right hand corner. Download Canvas app and log on. Activate notifications.
  • If you encounter issues with Canvas, use the helpline (see below)
  • We strongly recommend you ‘join’ open courses in Canvas such as Library and Student Level Up Induction.

Our Counselling service will be operating a Telephone Support service. New referrals and those on our waiting list will be responded to accordingly.
Current clients, across all sites, will be contacted by their usual counsellor and be given details regarding future telephone support or signposted to website.

Safeguarding advice - video conferencing, online learning and team meetings


A free, private and confidential helpline service for children and young people. You can contact them about any problems you may have.

Their crisis messenger provides free, 24/7 crisis support across the UK if you are experiencing a mental health crisis.
