The free distance learning Level 2 Cyber Security course will provide learners with sector awareness by increasing the knowledge and understanding of roles and issue relating to cyber security.

Course Details

Some of the units you will study on this course are:

  • Understand terminology used in cyber security
  • Understand legal and ethical aspects of cyber security
  • Understand methods of maintain cyber security

To complete the enrolment process, we are required to see proof of ID, such as a passport or driving license. We will also need to see either proof of earnings, such as a recent payslip (from within the last 3 months), or proof of benefits, such as a recent, full Universal Credit statement. This is so that we can check your eligibility for full funding.

These documents must be uploaded when completing your enrolment form.

On the free distance learning Level 2 Cyber Security course, you will learn the following units:

  • Unit 01: Introduction to cyber security
  • Unit 02: Understand terminology used in cyber security
  • Unit 03: Understand legal and ethical aspects of cyber security
  • Unit 04: Understand common threats to cyber security
  • Unit 05: Understand methods of maintaining cyber security
  • Unit 06: Working with others in cyber security

Due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent.

If you are between 19-23 years of age you must also have already achieved a full level 2 qualification (or higher) or 5 GCSE Grades A*-C/Grade 9-4.

We will require evidence of this in order to receive funding for you.

Each candidate is required to give written responses to questions, which will be submitted to a qualified script marker to assess. These responses can either be handwritten in the assessment booklets or typed using our fully online EAssessor platform. Candidates are issued with workbooks or online materials to assist with assessments.

You will be required to submit 2 assessments each taking 9 weeks to complete.

Upon completion, you will receive an electronic and/or paper certificate, which will be sent to you via email/post.
