The free distance learning Level 2 Information, Advice or Guidance course has been developed for learners working in this field to share good practice and build confidence in their ability to effectively fulfil their role as providers of advice and guidance.

Course Details

Some of the units you will study on this course are:

  • Develop interaction skills
  • Develop Advice & Guidance skills
  • Managing information
  • Signposting referrals

To complete the enrolment process, we are required to see proof of ID, such as a passport or driving license. We will also need to see either proof of earnings, such as a recent payslip (from within the last 3 months), or proof of benefits, such as a recent, full Universal Credit statement. This is so that we can check your eligibility for full funding.

These documents must be uploaded when completing your enrolment form.

On the free distance learning Level 2 Information, Advice or Guidance course, you will learn the following units:

  • Unit 01: Information, advice or guidance in practice
  • Unit 02: Developing interaction skills for information, advice or guidance
  • Unit 03: Signposting and referral in information, advice or guidance
  • Unit 04: Information, advice or guidance in context
  • Unit 05: Skills for advice providers
  • Applicants must be 19 years or older prior to the start of the academic year.
  • Applicants aged 19-23 should possess a full Level 2 Qualification.
  • Applicants must have resided within the EU for the past 3 years and hold permanent residency in England.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Applicants should not be enrolled in any other course and must not have previously completed their selected course.
  • Applicants must be residents of regions in England outside of the devolved authority areas.

Each candidate is required to provide written responses to questions that are typed directly onto the fully online EQUAL platform, these are then submitted to a qualified script marker to be assess and feedback provided. Candidates are given access to online materials to assist with assessments via the EQUAL platform.

You will be required to submit 5 assessments each taking 10 days to complete.

Upon completion, you will receive an electronic and/or paper certificate, which will be sent to you via email/post.

Courses are fully funded subject to learner eligibility and changes in government funding. we will confirm eligibility upon receiving your application.
