The course is split into 5 units and you will cover areas such as legislation, the well being of individuals and how EHC plans work.
To complete the enrolment process, we are required to see proof of ID, such as a passport or driving license. We will also need to see either proof of earnings, such as a recent payslip (from within the last 3 months), or proof of benefits, such as a recent, full Universal Credit statement. This is so that we can check your eligibility for full funding.
These documents must be uploaded when completing your enrolment form.

Unit 2: Understand equality and diversity in the context of SEND
Unit 3: Principles of promoting person centred approach for individuals with SEND
Unit 4: Understanding SEND and learning
Unit 5: Living with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent.
If you are between 19-23 years of age you must also have already achieved a full level 2 qualification (or higher) or 5 GCSE Grades A*-C/Grade 9-4.
We will require evidence of this in order to receive funding for you.

The free distance learning Level 2 Certificate in Special Education Needs and Disability course is assessed in the following way:
Each candidate is required to give written responses to questions, which will be submitted to a qualified script marker to assess. These responses will be typed using our fully online EQUAL platform. Candidates are issued with online materials to assist with assessments.
You will be required to submit 3 assessments each taking 4 weeks to complete.
Upon completion, you will receive an electronic certificate, which will be sent to you via email. A paper certificate can be issued upon request.
